On a trip to Cambodia, Elliot Costello met Thea, a young girl who had survived sexual abuse. She painted one of his nails, and he promised to keep it polished in her memory. This inspired the #PolishedMan movement, where men paint one nail to represent the one in five children affected by sexual violence.
The movement encourages men to challenge violence, raise awareness, and support programs for child survivors. With men responsible for most abuse, Elliot believes they must lead the change.
