Tourists couldn’t believe their eyes!
Tourists were shocked when a wounded dolphin washed ashore on the Romanian coast. Despite efforts to save it, the dolphin, identified as a Delphinus Delphis species, could not survive. Experts believe its injuries were caused by fishermen’s nets.
In the Black Sea, three marine mammal species are found: the common dolphin, bottlenose dolphin, and harbor porpoise. The common dolphin prefers offshore areas, while the others are found in coastal zones. Dolphins in this region are sensitive to pollution and reach speeds of up to 50 km/h, living up to 30 years. Their diet includes small fish and crustaceans.
