Final photo of birthday girl in helicopter cockpit just minutes before Hudson river disaster

A family birthday celebration turned tragic on April 10 when a Bell 206 helicopter crashed into the Hudson River at 3:17 PM. The crash killed an 8-year-old girl, her siblings, parents Agustin Escobar and Merce Camprubi Montal, and pilot Sean Johnson. The family, visiting from Barcelona to celebrate Merce’s 40th birthday, was remembered as loving and devoted.
