NFL reporter Doug Kyed has shared the heartbreaking news that his 2-year-old daughter, Hallie, has passed away, nine months after being diagnosed with leukemia. Doug, who works for the Boston Herald, revealed on Instagram that Hallie lost her battle after relapsing following a bone marrow transplant.
Doug wrote that Hallie died peacefully in her sleep while he and his wife, Jen, held her hands. “We’re completely lost and heartbroken without Hallie. Our lives will never be the same,” he shared.
Despite the poor prognosis after Hallie’s relapse, the family remained hopeful, cherishing their time together. Doug described the pain of losing his daughter as unimaginable, while Jen expressed the overwhelming grief of a mother’s loss.
