This Is What You Absolutely Should Do When a Wasp Stings You
I’m terrified of wasps—and most bugs that bite. While I respect their role, I can’t help but fear them. Bees are fine, but wasps? They’re the worst! I’ve been stung a few times, and trust me, it’s painful, plus some people are allergic.
Wasps sting, not bite, and unlike bees, they can sting multiple times. Symptoms include pain, swelling, and redness, but severe reactions can cause difficulty breathing or anaphylaxis.
If stung:
Stay calm and move away.
Remove the stinger with a fingernail or credit card.
Clean the area with soap and water.
Apply a cold pack for swelling.
Take pain relievers or antihistamines.
Seek medical help if severe reactions occur.
