Two teenage stepbrothers, Tavayne Weir, 17, and D’andre Graham, 16, tragically drowned while swimming at the Springvale Recreation Area in Sanford, Maine.
The boys went missing after telling their family they were going swimming at the popular cliff-jumping spot. Their car was found near the area, and after an hour-and-a-half search, rescuers discovered them underwater — still holding onto each other.
A family GoFundMe described them as inseparable and “true brothers,” saying they showed “incredible courage and loyalty, holding on to each other until the very end.”
