Soong Mei-ling, better known as Madame Chiang, the influential wife of Chinese leader Chiang Kai-shek, lived an extraordinary 106 years, stunning the world with her longevity.

Diagnosed with cancer at just 40, Madame Chiang overcame the disease and continued to shape politics, charity, and diplomacy throughout the 20th century. Her long life has been attributed to disciplined daily habits, smart lifestyle choices, and surprisingly simple dietary staples.

She passed away peacefully in her Manhattan apartment in 2003, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, influence, and remarkable vitality.
