Former NFL star dead at 36!

The NFL community is mourning the sudden death of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin at 36. Martin, nicknamed the “Muscle Hamster,” died early Saturday while in Oakland police custody following a reported home break-in. Authorities said a brief struggle occurred before he became unresponsive, and a full investigation is underway.

Martin was drafted 31st overall in 2012 out of Boise State and quickly became a star for the Buccaneers. His rookie season included 1,454 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, and he famously ran for 251 yards and four touchdowns in a single game against the Raiders, earning a Pro Bowl selection. His family has asked for privacy as they grieve.
