Oral cancer can develop on the lips, tongue, gums, cheeks, or other areas of the mouth, and early detection is key to successful treatment. Warning signs include sores that don’t heal within two weeks, white or red patches, unexplained bleeding, lumps, thickened or rough spots, or persistent numbness and pain.
