Smartphone users should know

Tech experts say you can charge your phone at almost any time, thanks to modern lithium-ion batteries — but there’s one habit to avoid. Letting your phone drop below 5% or shutting it off before charging can strain the battery and shorten its lifespan. It’s safe to plug in at 30%, 40%, or even 70%, and the battery automatically stops charging at 100%.
To protect battery health, avoid using the phone while it’s charging and turn off unnecessary features like WiFi or Bluetooth to reduce heat.
