People are now coming out as ‘Nebulas3xual’

s understanding of identity expands, new terms like nebulasexual are emerging to describe experiences beyond traditional labels. Linked to neurodivergence, nebulasexual refers to people — often with autism, ADHD, or OCD — who find their sense of attraction unclear or hard to define.

The prefix “nebula” means “clouded,” reflecting how attraction can feel hazy for those who identify this way. According to Autism Nottingham, it falls under the quoisexual umbrella, describing someone who “cannot tell if they experience sexual attraction or not due to neurodivergency or intrusive thoughts.”

Many neurodivergent people say the term helps them feel validated and understood, while critics argue that new labels overcomplicate identity. Supporters counter that such terms simply give language to diverse human experiences.
