Tragedy as teen drowns rescuing four children – his family reveals his legacy

Sixteen-year-old Bryce Brooks of Atlanta tragically lost his life in Pensacola while saving four younger children caught in a rip current. Bryce and two friends rushed into the water to help, but he was pulled under. A family friend, Charles “Uncle Chuck” Johnson II, also drowned trying to rescue him.
Bryce, an honor roll student and devoted big brother, was remembered by classmates with a balloon release. His bravery inspired the creation of the Bryce Brooks Foundation, promoting drowning prevention and water safety through free swimming lessons and lifeguard scholarships.
