Caesar the bear spent years trapped on a Chinese bile farm, forced to wear a cruel metal vest while her gallbladder was drained for traditional medicine. Rescued in 2004 by Animals Asia, she finally found freedom—swimming, sunbathing, and living with dignity. Though she later died from health complications caused by the abuse, Caesar’s story remains a powerful reminder of the cruelty of bile farming and the urgent need to free the thousands of bears still suffering today.
