A fatal accident on SC-390 in Ipira, Santa Catarina, claimed the life of a 31-year-old motorcyclist on Saturday afternoon. According to the Military Highway Police, his BMW S1000 RR collided head-on with a Renault Sandero driven by a 30-year-old woman after reportedly crossing into the opposite lane on a curve. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he did not survive. The driver tested negative for alcohol and said her car was removed from the scene by family before police arrived. The high-performance motorcycle was heavily damaged and impounded as authorities continue investigating the crash.
