Inmate who killed wife and children had chilling final words before execution

Edward Zakrzewski, 60, was executed in Florida on July 31—over 20 years after being convicted of murdering his wife and two young children in 1994. After fleeing to Hawaii, he was captured following a tip from Unsolved Mysteries. His final appeal failed, making him the 9th person executed in Florida this year, a state record. Before receiving the lethal injection, his last meal was fried pork chops, root beer, and ice cream. His chilling final words: “I want to thank the good people of the Sunshine State for killing me in the most cold, calculated, clean, humane, efficient way possible. I have no complaint.”
