Oral cancer often goes undetected until it spreads to the lymph nodes, but early detection can dramatically reduce risks. Common signs to watch for include non-healing blisters, mouth pain, difficulty swallowing, and sudden lumps in the neck.
Smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and tobacco use are the leading causes. Early diagnosis improves survival rates, with 82% of cases surviving when detected early, compared to just 27% in advanced stages.
