Michael Jackson’s Neverland sells for £22m: What the dilapidated ranch looks like 12 years later

**Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch Sold for \$22 Million**

Once listed for \$100 million, Michael Jackson’s iconic Neverland Ranch has been sold to billionaire Ron Burkle for just \$22 million. The 2,800-acre estate in Santa Barbara County, renamed Sycamore Valley Ranch, had remained empty since Jackson’s death in 2009. Originally purchased in 1988 for around \$19.5–\$30 million, Jackson transformed the property into a private amusement park with a zoo, rides, and two railroads. Following child abuse allegations and a 2003 police raid, Jackson never returned, calling it violated. Burkle, a former advisor, reportedly bought the property as a land investment with no immediate plans to develop it.
