Ever seen a green ring around a hard-boiled egg yolk? It’s harmless and caused by a reaction between sulfur in the egg white and iron in the yolk, often from overcooking. While it might look unappetizing, the egg is still safe and nutritious. To avoid the ring, cook eggs gently and cool them quickly in ice water.
