An 8-year-old child was recently attacked by a golden eagle on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Ku. While the bird wasn’t hunting, the girl needed a few stitches to recover. Golden eagles are capable of lifting goats over mountains, making them one of nature’s most impressive—and potentially deadly—predators.
