Many People Still Think That These 2 Buttons Are Just For Flushing
Many people don’t realize that modern toilets have twin flush buttons, which help conserve water. The larger button uses 6-9 liters for solid waste, while the smaller button uses 3-4.5 liters for liquid waste.
The dual flush system, introduced by designer Victor Papanek in 1976 and first used in Australia in 1980, helps save water. A home can save up to 20,000 liters of water annually with this system.
To use it effectively, press the smaller button for liquid waste and the larger one for solid waste. The buttons may have symbols to help identify them.
