Man Rescued a Trapped Crying Wild Horse. How It Thanked Him is Unbelievable

Outside Calgary, a group of Good Samaritans rescued a distressed horse trapped in a marshland after heavy rain. The horse, part of a new herd unfamiliar with the terrain, wandered off and became stuck in the mud.

Darla Connelly, overseeing the herd, was concerned about the challenging conditions, and when a two-year-old mare got trapped, a rescue operation began. Volunteers from Help Alberta Wildlife Society quickly arrived with ATVs and rescue gear. Daryl Glover waded through the mud to secure a rope around the mare’s hindquarters, helping guide her out as the ATV pulled her to safety.

Once free, the mare surprisingly approached Daryl, nuzzling him in a moment of gratitude. The rescue, a testament to the bond between humans and animals, ended with the horse trotting away unharmed, and the volunteers, covered in mud, shared a moment of awe at the connection they had witnessed.
