49ers cornerback Charvarius Ward is grieving the loss of his 23-month-old daughter, Amani Joy, who passed away on October 29. Ward shared his heartbreak on Instagram, describing Amani as a joyful blessing who brought light and taught strength, patience, and resilience.
Amani, born five weeks early with a heart condition and Down syndrome, underwent heart surgery before six months old. Earlier this year, Ward honored her, calling her a “gift from God” and expressing how she changed his perspective on life.
The 49ers also shared their condolences, remembering Amani’s joyful spirit that touched everyone around her.
