Kate Kaufling, a beloved dancer at the University of Kentucky, has tragically passed away at 20 due to bone cancer. The athletics department announced her death, leaving the college community in mourning.
Kate was a nursing student known for her vibrant spirit and commitment. She shone both on stage with the Kentucky Wildcats Dance Team and in the classroom, touching many lives with her infectious smile. Inspired by the care she received during her health struggles, she aspired to serve others as a nurse.
Kate lost her battle with osteosarcoma on March 31, 2024, and is survived by her parents and twin sister, Abbey.
