Maria is dying. Then carer takes something out of his pocket and fulfills her last wish.

We all grow old and eventually pass away. While I’m not afraid of death, the thought of becoming dependent on others terrifies me.

Maria, living her final days in a care home, felt this too. Once a singing and piano teacher, she missed music dearly. Fortunately, one of her former students, Joshua Woodard, worked at her care facility in Ohio. He had known Maria since he was 9.

Maria’s final wish was to hear “How Great Thou Art.” Joshua fulfilled her wish, singing a heartfelt rendition of the song. Maria’s sister-in-law captured the touching moment, making it even more special now that Maria has passed.
